Martina Werner, Member of the European Parliament Visits Marburg-Biedenkopf District and DRG International

Martina Werner, Member of the European Parliament, visited the district of Marburg-Biedenkopf on Friday, January 23, 2016. Together with Sören Bartol of Marburg-Biedenkopf, Member of the Federal Parliament, and the District Administrator Kirsten Fründt, she toured various companies in the county.

The visit began at DRG Diagnostics in Marburg, followed by the firms Schneider and Seidel in Fronhausen. Martina Werner was impressed by the companies the group visited, “I am inspired by the innovative capacity and competitiveness of these companies. This also represents good work in the region”.

District Administrator Kirsten Fründt supported these statements, “I am always on the go in the district and always discover new things, which inspire me. This is happening today. We really can be proud of our region”. Sören Bartol, who emphasized the importance of the visit in advance by having such an important European politician touring the district, was extremely satisfied with the result.

“Today we had the opportunity to visit, together with Martina Werner, some companies in the county and to convince ourselves that outstanding progress is found here, which has great significance far beyond the region. “It is important, especially in the scope of such visits, to illustrate that the site of Marburg-Biedenkopf has potentials for a variety of companies.
