Description
The Forensic Opiates Microplate EIA is intended for the screening for the presence of Opiates in human serum and whole blood. For professional forensic use only.A positive test result should be confirmed by a second test method such as GCMS (gas chromatography-mass spectrometry) or LCMS (liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry).
TheOpiates Microplate EIA is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the detection ofOpiates in human serum and whole blood, at a cut-off concentration of 100ng/mL. Thewells of the microtitre strips are coated with anti-Opiates antibody. Duringthe first incubation, the horseradish peroxidase (HRP) labelled Opiatescompetes with the free Opiates in the donors sample for the anti-Opiatesantibody binding sites on the microtitre strips. The wells are washed to remove any excess enzymematerial prior to the addition of the TMB substrate solution. Addition of thestop solution terminates the reaction and absorbances are readspectrophotometrically at 450nm.
